Artist description
In 1997, in the quiet towns of Brockport and Spencerport NY, a machine was assembled in a basement. The product went under strenuous testing and refining. Sweat was shed, tears were cried, and laughter was had by all inventors. What emerged was named Jonny Action.
Jonny Action consists of Justin Talbott (guitar, vocals), Paul Guarino (vocals, guitar), Chris Haynes (bass) and Bob Balonek (drums). These individuals seem to carry out normal lives during the day, but when they come together at night with electrified instruments, a new entity is formed. Though not human nor animal, the being known as Jonny Action clearly exists. Its effects can be seen.
Jonny Action likes to describe itself as refresh rock, a new, fresh wave of hard-hitting, painfully-melodic, rock-and-roll. The monster is ever expanding. In fact, it is in full-bloom growth. It created an EP in Sept 2001 followed by a new demo in March 2002. Their successes were only fuel to the fire.
August 3rd, 2002, Jonny Action unleashed The Mysterious Identity Between Five and Four. This ground-breaking musical odyssey's success has surpassed its high anticipation. The album can be purchased at all shows and various music stores around the Rochester area. Although its members are embarking on the journey known as college this fall, the hiatus is only temporary. A college tour is pending for this fall and more shows at home should be expected sparatically. |
