Artist History
The Toothless Hair started in the early 90's. As a side project. Punk was way underground and Grunge was still a thought in some fat cat record executives dirty little mind. The Toothless Hair was started so Todd and his buddies could have something new to listen to. Even though Punk Rock was Todd's favorite kind of music, he just wanted to do something fresh and exciting. The Toothless Hair was just what the Dr. ordered. When grunge was building new mansion's, The Toothless Hair was burning them down! When The Toothless Hair started recording, CD's were way outta reach so The Toothless Hair did cassette releases. The album that you are able to dowload here is the only Toothless Hair recording that ever made it to CD. The Toothless Hair eneded in 1994.
In 2001 Todd, Jim (Toothless bassist for certain peroids) and Cormac decided to recorded some classic Toothless songs and put them on CD. This MP3.com site is our gift to you, our old fans and hopefully some new. Feel free to e-mail us and let us know what ya think! Enjoy. |

Additional Info
The first Toothless Hair release was created with nothing other than sound effects. Although, most of the songs sounded like they had instruments, they didn't! The second Toothless Hair release (and the rest) all had vocals, guitars, bass and drums. When Todd started recording. Most of the music was recorded on a 1-track recorder. Todd would either record one track at a time or all of the tracks would have to be recorded live. Todd eventually created a recording process called "Stylizing". The "Stylizing" process is similar to Brian Wilsons "Pocket Symphonies". |
