Artist History I spent the first 12 years of my life on Whidbey Island, WA. I was basically raised by garage bands (from folk music to punk rock to heavy metal). Whidbey island can be a pretty boring place so I spent a bit of time as a little kid playing Nintendo... for some reason the repetitive bips and bleeps didn't bother me at all compared to the muffled yelling and banging in the next room. The first time I recall being exposed to real electronic music was when a local radio station started playing tracks by the propeller heads and the crystal method. I loved the stuff. A few years later I started going to "raves" ... next I became a DJ (I mostly spin Nu Skool breaks). From that point on I've spent a lot of time learning "the ways" of electronic music. I should be taking some music theory classes next fall. But for now, Its all matt fay.
