Artist description
Victim of Circumstance (formerly known as Salt The Earth) is most strongly influenced by heavy music. Many different kinds including straight up fucking metal, death metal, black metal, hardcore, metalcore, math metal, etc. There are harmonized guitar solo's, shredding riffs and chugging breakdowns. But the members listen to more than just that. There are also strong punk and emo influences in both the music and the lyrics. There is strong melodic content in addition to the dissonance and other metal sounds. Victim of Circumstance is always striving to be heavier as well as more diverse. |

Artist History
The band began around the beginning of 2001. Originally Jason, Dan, Eli and Mike. They quickly wrote 5 or 6 songs and played a few shows. A 3 song demo was recorded, but they were pressed for time, making it low quality and just plain shitty. The band had to go on hiatus over the summer due to members being away. They started up again as the new school year began and aquired a new bassist by the name of Chris. The wrote more (better) songs and played a few more shows. In July of 2002 they finally finished their first full length. The band is currently looking to play more shows. |
