Artist description Multicultural four piece rock band from Stockport. We combine soft,melodic poppy singing courtesy of our Ukrainian singer Zenk, thunderous rock and metal drumming from our half american drummer dude Paul, happy hour melodic power pop punk basslines from our Chinese spikey haired bass player Ez and to add the icing on the cake are the mad, Iron Maiden influenced Shredding guitar solos from another Chinese guy, Jim!! They said it would never work, but they were wrong, and how wrong they were!

Artist History We formed in january of 2001 out of boredom and as an escape from the everyday college life and work. Ez, jim and Paul had all played in various different bands before but it was Zenk who brought us together to breathe life into his then embryonic, undeveloped songs. We played our first gig at the Ukrainian social club which is our regular rehearsal space a few months later. We continued gigging and writing songs and recorded our first CD,the Anta Baka! ep in january 2002. We decided to change our band name to New Day Ruin in 2003 and also managed to get two new songs recorded, Time to Go & Freakazoid!
