Artist description
Random Maxx is fast becoming one of Milwaukee's premier pop acts,
garnering praise from every band they play with, and at every locale they play. Fantastic 4-part harmonies,
melodies that stick in your head days after you hear them, and a fun and inviting stage show are their
trademarks. What else should we say? |

Artist History
Formed in 1997, Matty Phillips, Mark Redlich, Jim Schweitzer, and Bo Johnson brought together their
respective backgrounds in theater, improv, and professional wrestling to create a unique, breathtaking whole.
They slugged it out in Milwaukee's rough and tumble pop scene until a fateful day when they found a hand
clutching a sword in Lake Michigan. When they removed the sword from the hand (difficult due to rigor
mortis), a god, spirit, or ghost spoke to them saying, "Record a CD..." and thus they followed the voice's
instructions. The first CD caught fire locally as citizens took to burning shops where it was displayed.
Figuring that people didn't want to *buy* their music, their second disc they gave away free. And then
the time was right to make the perfect disc. A disc both simultaneously capable of being fun, slight,
deep, and emotional. Which brings us up to date, right? Listen. Love. It's what the god/spirit/ghost
always wanted... |
