    Artist History
FRONTLINERS BIOGRAPHY EXANTUS & OPTISKEPT Jean Eddy Exantus, of Haitian background was born on December 3, 1977 in Brooklyn, New York. Exantus discovered his passion for music at a very young age. He satisfied that passion by taking piano lessons, writing and recording songs on his own and perfecting his rapping skills. While living in Japan, he performed at many local pubs captivating the crowds with his exuberance and lyrical skills. He was known throughout the Japanese community as "Mc Hook". A year later Exantus returned to the United States, and teamed up with Mainframe (A.K.A. Massive) and Style Skillz. Shortly after, the three went separate ways; Jean decided to further his musical aspiration by attending Five Towns College where he is majoring in Audio Recording. John Andrew Oplinger was born May 29,1982 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. At the age of 12 he moved to Queens, New York, to live with his mother. He is the son of Glenn Oplinger (German-American) and Chong Kim (Korean). At a tender age, John taught himself how to play the piano, drums, acoustic guitar, and the synthesizer. He later played in a band at the church his mother attended. At the age of 14, he started writing and recording songs. Upon entering a New York City wide high school song-writing contest, he won fourth place and a one thousand dollar cash prize. A year later because of his love for music, he attended Five Towns College majoring in Business/Audio Recording. Exantus and Optiskept met at Five Towns College, and shortly after they began writing songs together, forming the group FrontLiners. As FrontLiners, the two write and produce Gospel, Symphonic Hip-Hop, New Age, Alternative, Classical, and Electronica sounds. With the inspiration of God, FrontLiners recorded and completed an album of 19 tracks consisting of a powerful message and innovative sounds marking the beginning of a musical revolution. With the glory and inspiration of God, Exantus and Optiskept hope to take Hip-Hop music and the Industry in a more positive direction. Influences: Wyclef Jean, Depeche Mode, Aphex Twin, Eminem and Enigma.
