Artist description
I'm a poor College Student in Minneapolis, Mn. My band broke up, so this page is the only thing keeping me from creative hysteria. As of this point, it's my only outlet for expression! My songs are a mix of rap, techno, balads, and instrumental tracks. Some of the songs are catchy, others are moving, and some are quite sentimental at times. I wrote mst of this material when I was 16, and was first introduced to the guitar by may parents. I have also played the Trombone, Clarinet, Mandolin, and occasionally the piano. I'm 20 years old, and I'm looking forward to the major role that music will hopefully play in my life.
A lot of my inspiration comes from relationships, but I also have a way of trying to incorporate certain feelings and moods I'm experiencing here in Minneapolis into the music. I've been developing quite a few songs here, and I'm anxious to get back home and record them for this site! Please continue to check it out! |

Music Style
It's changed greatly over the past 6 years. I like eveything from Classic Rock to Radiohead to Classical to Techno. I guess I'm really starting to explore classical music again, along with a renewed interest in House/Dance music. I love that stuff! |

Artist History
I received my first guitar at the age of 15. I started learning tabs and various interpretations of popuar songs. About this time I was also begining to date...thus providing me with a lot of songwriting material with which to work. I hadnt considered mysef a poet, but the words (or lack thereof) seemed to come easily t me as I recorded my first album, "Reflejo" in 1999. I tried to use a lot of different techniques and genres in the abum, and the most popular tracks turned out to be interpretations of "regulate" by Warren G, and "Mo Money, Mo Problems" by Biggy, Puffy, and Mase. Go figure. I also included covers of Ricardo Arjona and Led Zeppelin. The second CD was unrealeased, and was a gift to Carrie Holand over Thanksgiving in 2001. "Englewood" is the only online track from this album, which used a strange mix of blues...pop, Cranberries covers, and rap. Finally, in 2002, I realeased "Penumbra" to a limited number of friends and relatives. It has quite a few techno interludes, a cover by the Carpenters, and many original songs. I used the trombone on two songs, much to the chagrin of Eric Stuberg and Ned Lowell (former band members) who make fun of me for it. This school year, I have added OnFreedom, Aqua Blinking, As if You Ever Cared,Pale in Comparison, Approaching the Distance, and Spring into Summer to this site. I hope to add a lot more soon! I have many songs left in me! |

Additional Info
Check out No Small Wonder, my band at http://www.nosmallwonder.com. Perhaps I will be playing at select places here in Minneapolis or in Atlanta, and I'll definately let you know if that happens. I guess I've just never considered myself a coffee shop performer, but I think it would be fun! |
