Artist description
Rachel Rodriguez was born and raised in a small town in Mid-Michigan. Music has always been a part of her life, with her father being her first and biggest influence. At an early age, Rachel began singing with her father, and dancing, at festivals, talent shows, and family gatherings. When she was old enough to sing in clubs, she joined her father’s band. She’s had the privilege of sharing the same stage with Tennessee Ernie Ford, the Osmond Brothers, Kenny Rogers, Brenda Lee and Highway 101.
To add to the impressive list of this young lady’s talents, Rachel is also a songwriter, dance teacher and is bilingual. Rachel is very proud of her Hispanic heritage and thinks it is extremely important to also be able to perform in her native language.
She loves all kind of music, but says her heart lies with country music. This is the reason she made the move to Nashville. When asked who some of her influences include she replied, “Loretta Lynn, Wynonna, Patsy Cline, Stevie Nicks, Gloria Estefan and Selena. These women have not only inspired me with their phenomenal talent, but also with their incredible strength and determination.”
These days you can find her performing regularly at Lonnie’s Western Room in Printers Alley, sitting in somewhere on Lower Broadway or at her favorite hang out the Broken Spoke Saloon.
