Artist description
The style of Pillage is a mix of Grunge, eighties medal, country, a touch of modern-day metal and a dash of mainstream rock (a very small dash). The mix of influnces from Alice in Chains to Silverchair to Rush to Nickelback makes for an interesting sound that is a breath of fresh air from the generic rock, hip hop and pop heard on radio today. |

Artist History
Pillage formed in June of 2002. Pillage consists of Sam Le on vocals and guitar, Chris Doyle on Guitars, Tom Koch on Bass and backing vocals, and James Chambers on the Drums. Chris and Sam have been friends for about seven years and have been playing guitar for about five. Sam started playing and taught Chris the rudimentals of guitar. They have been writing music together for about four years. Tom and James on the other hand have been playing their instruments for about three years each. They started playing their instruments together in their first band Underground Rage. Since that time, they have played in bands including Make It Alone and most recently, Diluted Illusion. The two groups came together thanks to Doug Lynam, who Tom worked with. Tom, Sam, and Chris started hanging out, and after Tom and James recovered from their Diluted Illusion hangover, they decided it was time to make another chapter in their musical careers. |
