Artist description
From the musically diverse city of Atlanta hails Like Clockwork, a project with simply something more to offer. The music strives to be in your face with acoustic textures, melodic vocals, and instrumentation that you aren't likely to hear on your local rock radio station. Behind this upcoming project lies 18 year old Jesse Astin, who brought his guitar sound to bands like Steadfast, Morning Glory, Annapolis Red, and the band he is currently in, Persona. With Jesse's new found voice (which was gained with the help of Dionne Osborne at Jan Smith Studios), he took his poetic ideas dating back to three years ago, and made them into musical masterpieces. Recording in his own basement, Jesse produced all of the material and played several different instruments such as the violin, mandolin, bass, samplers, sequencers, keyboards, and even some spoken word, proving his talent to lie far beyond that of "just a guitarist". His production of the material is much like that of a painter and his brushes, adding bits of color and flavor to every aspect. At the age of 15, Jesse released an instrumental five song demo, which led him into the mainstream of Atlanta's music scene. Since then, it is easy to tell how much he has grown musically, not only on the guitar, but also on songwriting, composing, and producing. With his new project under wings, Jesse is preparing to take his music to the next level and into the hearts and minds of everyone that hears it. Like Clockwork demands your ear's attention. |
