Artist History
First gig on 11 November 1983, recorded several tape albums in 1983, but did not release them. So the first release was "Travestahl" on Trümmer Tapes, who bootlegged the first legendary garage sessions. Only a month later Funafuti Tapes released the first official tape "Lauter die Hämmer nicht schwingen in March 1984. In the late summer of 1984 the tape album "Klassiker der Müllhalde" was released, which contained highlights of all the garage sessions. The cassette album "Es lebe das Verbrechen" was issued later in 1984 and included recordings from various locations. At the same time the limited edition 7" single "Keine Haftung" was released on Funafuti Records. The first live album was released in the fall of 1985 entitled "Im Treibsand". After more live gigs and recording sessions the album "Arbeitswütige Henker" was released in 1986. On 24 May 1986 the band played their last gig ever in Kiel. Later that year Münstermann released the cassette album "Leichen ficken", which contained the worst of all Chaos Combo material collected over the past years. After the split of the band Funafuti Tapes officially re-released the "Travestahl" bootleg under the title "Als letzten Gruß" in 1988. |
