Artist History In their present line-up, the cameron frye were formed in fall 2000, deriving from a former just for fun-hardcore project. After Mark (Bass) and André (Vocals) had joined and completed the band, the cameron frye started to make their way out of the practice room onto the stage, soon playing shows with Waterdown, Vision, Awkward Thought, Driftnet, Sometree, Engrave and Suction. The members of the band are partly from Hanover, Germany, (Sven, Timo and Thomas) and partly from Bielefeld, Germany, and its vicinity (Andre, Mark and Michael); they all have gained experience in various other punk- and hardcore-projects that had existed before the cameron frye (and its predecessor). Musically, the cameron frye is influenced mainly by Hardcore and Emo, these styles are mixed up to the bands characteristic sound, supported by two contrary vocalists. The lyrics also play an important role as they deal mainly with personal experiences and observations. In September 2001 the cameron frye recorded their first four tracks, which can be downloaded here, in a professional studio in Bielefeld; these tracks together form our first EP called coming home.
