Artist description
Who the hell is Emma Feel? The little-known lesbian member of
the Avengers? No, Emma Feel is a knock-you-down, drag-you-out,
and leave-you-in-the-gutter-wondering-who-stole -your-wallet
rock band from Kansas City, U.S.A. Born from the unlikely
convergence of punk, art, and lost love, Emma Feel layers howling
guitars and growling bass over hyperkenetic drumming, and tops
off the whole mess with lyrical tales of desperation and depravity.
Brought together by their love of prehistoric punk, Chin-Chap
glam, and the deep funk groove, Emma Feel is ready to take over
the stage of your favorite hangout. Can you dig, baby? |

Artist History
War and Peace this ain't, folks.
Kansas City's Emma Feel started playing together in the fall of 1998. The goal
was to make noise based in the prehistoric punk sounds of bands like
the Stooges, the New York Dolls, and the Dead Boys.We called
ourselves Miss Bliss back then, before we knew there was a band in
Ann Arbour, MI with the same name. Members joined and members left, but
we kept going until we were ready for our first show
in the summer of 1999. We played twice that summer as Miss Bliss,
before changing our name to the oh-so-much-better Emma Feel.
Emma's been playing semi-regularly since the fall of 1999, gracing the stages
of many fine Kansas City and Lawrence, KS institutions. Come on out and shake yer ass to the beat! |
