Artist History Born November 25, 1968 on a small Portuguese island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean called Terceira, Cas has been playing guitar for more than 20 years. He started playing at the age of 12 because of a doctor’s recommendation. He shattered his arm in a windsurfing accident and playing guitar was part of his physical therapy. He was 13 years old when he joined his first band called "Pipeline." He excelled at playing the bass guitar and soon was recruited to the local popular band called "Band Iris." After moving to the United States, Cas played in several clubs in Delaware and Maryland as a single act. He then joined "The Renaissance Band" in 1999 as the lead guitarist. They released a CD entitled "The Renaissance Band." Currently, Cas is writing and recording his own music in his home studio in Sarasota, FL where he lives with is wife, Veronica, and their daughter, Victoria. His instrumental style has been described as a combination of Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Dave Matthew’s Band. He has been described as a natural talent. The music is full of feeling and musicians are amazed to find out that Cas plays by ear only. He is currently searching for a publishing or record deal.
