Artist description
In a very short time, The BrokenStars have made quite a splash in Texas by playing anywhere, anytime and anyplace. From popular nightspots to private parties to small "locals only" bars, the BrokenStars are quickly gaining a reputation as being one of Texas' most exciting "Alt. Country/Rock" bands. With elements of artists like Steve Earle, Old 97's, and Whiskeytown blended with a more rockin' sound found in groups like the Replacements, Wilco and the Lemonheads, this group is showing crowds all over the south that country and modern rock can be surprisingly good bedfellows.
The group's debut album, The Legend of Braxton Hicks, was released in early-June and with a truck, a long list of live dates, a growing fan-base and a seemingly endless catalog of we ll-crafted original songs, the sky seems to be the limit for these Stars. Lî |
