Artist description
"Pseudocipher's keyboards, synthesizers, and moody dispositions are at the core of these gothic songs, which don't so much wallow in their misery as attempt to turn it into a suitable dance partner. The dreamiest tracks emphasize beats pulsing beneath swirls of noise and sorrowful vocals, while the darkest songs are as interested in creating curious noise collages as they are conjuring a sexy, bewitching sound."- Kali H., Listen.com |

Press Reviews
"A NEW SINGLE, 'CRANK/HAPPY OCEAN' IS AS ICY AS AN ABSINTHE FRAPPE, THE LATTER SONG HANGING A DARK MANTLE OF EXQUISITE GLOOM OVER THE TACKINESS OF LONG BEACH.....MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.." Ron Garmon, Mean Street - 11/01 "Probably the most original band in the dark pop genre, Pseudocipher's style incorporates angst-ridden guitars, experimental elements, and symphonic elements into their music." Scott Mallonee, Grinding into Emptiness. "Pseudocipher is a heavily-electronic goth-rock group. Dark, slow drum machines reminiscent of Sisters of Mercy " The-plague.com. "Obviously non-ambient, but skillfull arrangements impressively mix and match genres; experimental and contemporary electronics are well-represented alongside moody, ethereal pop, and assorted vocal stylings" Ambientrance. "This is a distinct and unusual sound." Gothic Entertainment. "..Shocking!..Talented..!" Music Connection. "The music of Pseudocipher is very promising." Kim Alexander, Last Sigh. "They (Pseudocipher) know how to write songs, and the duo have some of the finest vocal capabilities in the genre." Mike Ramirez, Blue Divide. "Fragments of Empathy could very well be a surprise club hit and ought to be watched for when it's released." Electroage. |
