Artist History Nocean was started by San Diego music veteran Sam McLarty in the summer of '99. This line-up has honed its skills performing at Hennessey's Tavern, The PB Street Fair, El Torito, and recording at Headtrap studios. Recently they have put on rocking, crowd pleasing shows at the Imperial Beach Sand Castle Festival, Taco Surf and Moon Doggies. The band pressed their first recording in 2000, and has recently completed tracks for a second CD, available April 2003.

Group Members Sam McLarty- guitar/vocals, from Bayport Blues Band, Sonic Blue, Hair of the Dog; Tom Welch- drums, from Mars Hotel and formerly Blood Fruit; Michael Head- lead guitar, of Headtrap Music, G.I.T. grad, producer, formerly Blood Fruit, GSS, BWL. Becki Hammett on vocals, tambourine and harmonica. Howard Freelove- bass, formerly of The King Bees.
