Press Reviews
"Jacqui Callis has the pipes of a Celtic Patsy Cline and some of Sinead O'Connor's intensity, which she tempers with a dash of Kirsty MacColl's Pop sensibilities. Her ace backing band only adds to the "Sandie Shaw Sings the Richard Thompson Wrist Slashers" feel." Nick Dedina, www.listen.com.
"Midway between Nick Drake and Lucinda Williams, Jacqui Callis offers a
unique hybrid of alt.country attitude and a distinctively English pop
sensibility." John Williams, writer and contributing editor at GQ magazine.
