Press Reviews This is a review for the song "Both Eyes Closed": It's hard to not like Grant Lindberg's Pop songs, mainly because he moves in so many directions that, sooner or later, he's bound to travel down your musical path of choice. When Lindberg bursts into song, his voice turns out to be an inexplicably pleasant blend of aloof, deadpan whines and soaring, nasal-inflected notes. Just as you become comfortable with the rhythms being offered,Lindberg changes his timing, and the song becomes a slow drudge-fest. When Lindberg gets his second wind, exploding into springy Power Pop chords, you stop wondering where he'll take you next, and simply hope the song won't end. You're left with an upbeat feeling and memories of sugary sweet, love-obsessed lines like "You'd look at me that way/And I'd fall to pieces right there in front of you/You broke my heart once again/But I'm coming back to you." Grant says his goal is to write the perfect Pop song, and with this Lo-Fi Cheap Trick sound, he comes awfully close. From www.excite.com music reviews
