Artist description
A roving fractal of sounds and personnel, Bigger than the Beetles perfectly funnels all the best music from every tradition, and mixes it with the Tao of creativity to come out with melodies, textures, moods, etudes, tone poems, jingles, the world's sexiest music, and other fine exuberances to raise and deepen your spirit, while not compromising on the pure enjoyment of listening to Nature as it manifests in musical form, with the aid of hominids, Dave Beckwith and Wood William.
From love ballads to mood music to the edge of emperimentality, we offer it up as it comes out...and we hope to evolve and take you with us. . .

Artist History
2 people, 4 decades. In the 70s, Wood and I used to go to an abandoned asylum, with nought but ein guitar und ein squeezebox, and create anew for hours. At other times we would stay up till dawn, coffeed out, and allow the Muses their due.
A hundred or so synthesizers later, we are still knocking out the hits.
If you don't like us...git a job! (I do so love the non-sequitor!)
Woody is the current incarnation of Mozart, but he is also the current incarnation of Leonardo DaVinci. Strange really, but there you are. Deal with it.
The cover art is his creation, as well as all the other art on the page. He really should be famous. I'm just glad to know him. Now you can.
My own musical history goes is one where I studied music, but gave up playing other people's music when I discovered improvisation and composition...which seemed to demand that I open my ears and shut off the lights.
This is the internal digging, so to speak. Externally, ethnomusicology, or what is now basically "world music", has long been an enjoyment. Additionally, the avant-garde has always held my interest, regardless of decade or century.
People, upon whom music is made to take an often dramatic change. John Cage would be a clear example of this.
Woody is likely to be another. But he would never tell you. I just did. (Thanks to Walter Mondale, Inc.)
Enough for now...
-Dave
