Artist History
Anon is a solo project by Michael Hearst, formerly of Maud Gonne, Fashion Central, and Schwa fame. Anon was put together in 1997 and released the self titled album in 1998 under Urban Geek Records. The album was picked up for distribution by Planetary Records. A conglomeration of well known local musicians in the Richmond, VA area were used in the recording of this album. The band name and all the song titles were conceived by New York artist/graphic designer Ryan McGinness under Hearst' commission. The live band consist of Ricky Tubb and Tom Richards of The Waking Hours, Paul Watson and Josh Camp of Sparklehorse and One Ring Zero, and Michael Hearst. |
