Artist History Brief, but growing.....

Group Members Jason Hill - Guitar, Harmonica, Vocals - Born and raised in Hutchinson, KS, Jason is a fourth generation musician. Touring America's breadbasket for several years with brothers Aaron and Tim, Jason performed with Sons' Of Midas, the name a tribute to their father's long time outfit, King Midas. After a stint in the U.S. Army, Jason's wings landed him in Colorado, performing in the Funk trio Monobrau. A recent transplant to the Roanoke area, Jason provides the soulful voice and seeping guitar for the PoP Rivets. Brian Holt - Bass, Vocals - Convinced by a friend to play bass for "one gig", Brian Holt has evolved into one of Roanoke's rythmic finest. A Musical chameleon, Brian's career has grown from high school trumpet player to guitar/bass instructor. Heading to Boston's renound Berklee School of Music in 1995, Brian studied and played with the likes of Kenwood Denard and Mick Goodrick. Returning to Roanoke post graduation, Brian's techniques on guitar and bass educate the next generation of musician and equip several regional acts with a seasoned, multitalented professinal willing to explore all musical avenues. Ted "Chico" Grigorieff - Drums, percussion, vocals - Exposed to drums briefly while in high school, Ted pursued other interests. After years of rusting away in a remote, rural location, Ted removed his kit and joined the Fashion Smoothies in 1998 where he met Brian Holt. Introduced to Jason by a long time friend, the PoP RiVets held their first practice at Ted's in early 2001. Three moves and four careers later, Ted balances his time between Supervisor of Chemistry Labs at VMI and full time Percussionist for the PoP RiVets.
