BAND PROFILE
Starfly formed in early 2002 after lead vocalist and lawyer, Gillian Wright was approached by the Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland to help write and record a song dedicated to the Bank of Scotland Scottish Commonwealth Games Team.
With its underlying Celtic undertones and a strong, catchy chorus line, Strong is intended to offer the Scottish athletes an inspirational song to remember as they prepare for the Games. Influences for the song, which combines traditional Scottish and contemporary dance music.
Strong was written, recorded and produced in Edinburgh by Wright, McDonald and Salvona.
