Artist History Exotic yet wonderfully accessible, Casey Jones Bastiaans is an accomplished actress and singer whose career has spanned more than a decade. She has graced stages from Paris and Baltimore to San Francisco with her dramatic sensibilites and striking physical presence. Jones Bastiaans has received rave reviews and standing ovations for show-stopping lead roles in such musicals as Nunsense I andII and Once on this Island. An evening of song, performed by Ms. Bastiaans is a smoky circus of cabaret and theater that challenges her audiences sense of adventure. Jones Bastiaans richly nuanced exploration of songs by such artists as David Bowie, Irma Thomas, Bryan Ferry, Depeche Mode and Fats Waller is mesmerizing. "If the story of the song is told in such a way that it relates to the universal core of everyone experiencing it, it is more than music. I choose songs that are timeless, no matter what the genre, and that speak to me. I want to try and bring them to people in a new light."
