Artist History -Bled was formed in 2001 by Chris (guitar, vocals), Erik (drums), and Shon (guitar), following Chris and Erik's departure from a previous established northern California thrash/death metal band. Within 6-7 months the trio composed enough material to record a limited release DIY six song demo. After a number of well received gigs in the Sacramento area, Shon decided to leave the band due to other obligations. -Chris and Erik continued to explore new directions in technical death metal while seeking a bass player to fill the void left by Shon's departure. Despite the temporary two-piece status, Bled recorded new material with Chris picking up bass duties and embarked on a north-west mini-tour with The New Plague. -Greg Amaral formerly of the Sacto Death-Grind band Holistic took up the sub-sonic duties in August 2002 and the band took a break from shows to focus on ironing-out the material. -Bled has recently begun playing shows again and the new three-piece line-up has crushed at every occassion. Currently, Bled is focusing on rehearsal for a new studio album to be recorded early in 2003.
