Artist History The band began in July of 1999. Scott had just left his old band Sincycle because of various problems. Chris,an old buddy of Scotts came over to jam one day and ended up writting a song together. about a week later they decited to start a band. The following November we (Scott and Chris) found our bassist Jeff. Then we came across our drummer Dave who lived in Palo Alto. That was a very weird situation. In June of 2000 Mike joined the band as our lead guitarist. After a long time in the band, drummer Dave decided to leave the band after a bad case of jet lag. That was bad news at the time, but good news in the long run. We came across a great drummer by the name of Kyle Pesely. A super drummer and, HE's LOCAL!!!!! In early April of 2001 Jeff was dropped on his head a countless amount of times and decided to be the drummer of a "hardcore" band. That should be quite intresting to see a bassist with no bass amp become a drummer with no drumset. Oh well, with his leaving the band has opened up to a whole new level of expression and openmindedness. In May of 2001, Matt Johnson became Zodiac's new bassist opening the band up to new genres of rock. After tons of unneccesary drama throughout the group, it was clear that the current Zodiac Lineup would not work out. That said, Matt Johnson's leavimg was some sort of a mutual agreement of the band. Matt did not find his interest expanding with his time in the group, and the rest of the members could see it as well. So, whether Matt quit or was kicked out remains a mystery... but does it really matter? And Kyle, A terrifically talented drummer had not expanded his musical abilities for the band. While Scott, Mike, Matt, And Chris had such a broad range of musical taste, Kyle seemed to stick to what he knew best. Thus, the end of Kyle took place. However, this made way for Zodiac's new Rhythm section: Jacob Glick and Mike Ruiz. With the Fall Lineup of Zodiac together and ready to go, Zodiac have even further widened thier taste of music and have been opened to many new genres. Let's Just hope this Lineup Works out.
