Artist History Syrinx was started as an idea of the father, Michael Kessler in Dec. 2001. Michael is a retired teacher of geology. He started singing lessons at 7 and wrote his first musical composition at 14 years of age. Playing in bands and singing with a Brooklyn group called the Illusions gave Michael some of his experience. He also received his stage work doing musical comedy at New York's "DANGERFIELDS" and Brooklyn's "PIPS". He continues to perform and write music with his wife Anita and his sons Robin & Justin. Even as a youngster, Justin always had a love for music. He started playing piano and guitar at a very young age. His first composition was written when he was 10 years old. As a teenager, he played in a few different garage bands. Now he finds the most joy getting together with his family after work and on the weekends to play music. Robin has been surrounded by music since conception. His father would sing to him developing in his mothers womb. Robin was experimenting with the keyboard before his first steps. Robin started to play in groups and in the guitar ensemble in school. Several garage bands and genres later, he found himself utilizing his talents to create harmonies and lead solos for Syrinx. Syrinx will continue to write and perform its music called "vocal harmony" for years to come. The name Syrinx,One of the Greek goddesses of music, was the idea of Justin's wife, Robin.
