Artist History
Smooth as silk with a vintage blend of Jazz and
R & B soulful sound, Scott Walker singer
songwriter demonstrates this in his music. Born
in Brooklyn New York. Scott began his love for
music in 1984 in school musicals and chorus
classes in such musicals as The Wiz, Little Shop
of Horrors, Fame and the West Side Story. He
relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in July of 1992 and
began his music career.
Scott's music accomplishments include singing
background for several groups. In the summer of
1998 he began singing in Atlanta's own "Casual
Effect", a Jazz and R&B Reggae band. He has
performed at weddings,formal affairs and the
Chart House located in Marietta, Georgia.
Scott then began appearing solo, performing at
Expressions, a Jazz & R&B Cafe located in Decatur,
Georgia on February of 2000. He was a vocalist in
the Live Internet Broadcast at the Cafe 290,
located in Sandy Springs, Georgia, for the house
band. Recent collaborations with Douglas Edwards,
Jazz Pianist where they both created their new
group Inner-Mission, perform every Friday from
8:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. since June 2000 at Hairstons
Dinner Club, located in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
The single “Summertime Groove” from his upcoming
debut album that is taking Minnesota by storm has
played throughout the State of Minnesota on the
ABC-TV Network “Eyewitness Morning News”, KSTP
Channel 5, the Fox-TV Network show “Good Day
Minnesota Channel 9”, KMOJ 89.9FM radio station,
and various TV Community Access Cable Channels in
and out of the state.
His second single "My Heart" a love song is being
played regularly on KMOJ radio 89.9FM. Scott's
music has also played at the Gus Macker Basketball
Tournaments in an out of Minnesota and at the
historic Rondo Days event in St. Paul Minnesota
2002.
Scott Walker’s stellar performance playing in and
out of Minnesota has most recently been featured
on Community TV Access Cable Channels throughout
Minnesota in the first installment of “The Rhythm
Beat Music Show”, a new 30-minute music show
launched in January 2003 from the Rhythm Beat
Music label (In Association with Big Shu
Productions in Atlanta, Georgia). |
