Artist description
Intricate, melodic music that rocks and just
might make you dance. That's the best way I can
think of to describe us. We really don't sound
like any band that I've ever heard, which is
great! |

Artist History
Ben and I used to play together a few years ago,
then we went our separate ways for a while. He
went on to form Brass Tacks and then New Machine,
both high energy punk bands, and I stopped playing
bass completely. In January, Ben was starting a
new band and went through various members until,
two weeks before the new band was set to debut,
Mad Shadows came together. Ben's old friend Brad
from his hometown was our drummer. Jesse,
possibly the coolest man in Lexington, played
guitar, as did Ben. I located a bass and taught
myself to play once more. We practiced and wrote
songs constantly to prepare for the show we had.
It went well, and in fact we still play three of
those original songs. We haven't looked back
since! |

Press Reviews
"Mad Shadows are incredible! there's been much
talk recently of the NYC rock revival - bands
making unique, propulsive rock built on bits and
pieces of city-rock from the late 70's/early 80's
(when punk met new wave -and many other influences
- and it was cool to be angry AND dance). well,
Mad Shadows is lexington's contribution to the
(loose) movement. don't miss a chance to see them!"
