Artist description
The Hookersville Hornpipefitters Union only exists on random days, between the hours of 7:00 pm and midnight, on the front porch of an old farmhouse in Werth, West Virginia. The members constantly rotate in and out and the sounds made are wisps of the BIG SONG that the Great Spirit lets us hear, if only for a moment. Sometimes the songs are written by members from hundreds of miles away. These days geography is no reason . . . for anything. Did you ever sit upstairs in your room as a youngster and stare at those album jackets, the big art and the big ideas. You pull out the sleeve and look for the answers, maybe a liner note. A big block engine winds out on some not too distant street as the evening comes down and you can't help but wonder what their night was going to be like. Maybe a little fantasy, but not too much. Hookersville Hornpipefitters Union never left the room upstairs.

Artist History
THe musicians in Hookersville Pipefitters Union are shadow musicians that have the talent, but never, ever got enough practice on their instruments because they were too busy working. Every hour they can pull it together is an hour off of this world, lifted high above, on an effervescent column of musical rapture. |
