Artist History
Disavow, formed in late 2001 by some of Chicago hardcore MIA’s, and a few fresh faces to the scene. The bassist, Craig Comparto, of the early-90’s straight-edge band, Restraint; the drummer, Matt D., former co-front man of the seminal crossover hip-hop/hardcore (read BEFORE Limp-Bizcut) group Stifle; the guitarists, John Buttney and John Phillips, formerly of One Common Thread, and a new-comer to the Chicago hardcore scene, via Hermosa Beach, California, Tyler Anderson.
