Artist description
:Amentia is a hybrid of aggressive/rythmic metal, and raw emotion accented by hardcore.
Those who listen to popular "nu-metal", such as Mudvayne and Tool, can appreciate this
music; as well as people who enjoy the technicality and integrity of the underground
hardcore scene. Amentia has no aim to please a particular demographic, instead we let our
sincerity and capabilties set the limits:
:Amentia is not the first professional band for it's members. It was born from the remnants of
Lie, a death/hardcore outfit. Lie opened for such acts as Mushroomhead, Zao, 216 and Cannibal
Corpse; and played venues as large as the Agora Theatre. The other half of the band came from
the aggressive style punk band The Hit Squad, who have opened shows for the U.K. Subs, The
Unknown, The Unseen, and Anti-Flag:
:Among the goals of this band are to generate visually intense live sets and products, in such a
way that we will be noticed and respected by audiences, and the Cleveland metal community.
To further our release and watch an audience of our own grow...:
