    Artist History
BAND BIOGRAPHY A Tale of Mistakes and Morons Formed in April 2001, the members of Trauma Concept came together for one thing - their love of metal. Ever since, they've been making quite a name for themselves. Becoming known not only for their "enormously heavy" sound, but for their high intensity live shows as well. Containing members originally from Texas, New York, and Massachusetts, this Framingham, MA based metal band has fused all of the separate influences into one original, focused, attack. The result is the double bass assault of Derek Jay on drums, the low end vocals and "take no shit" attitude of frontman Jesse Preston, John Jones' guitar riffs that go from blistering speeds to down right brutal breakdowns, and Chip Meeske handling the damaging rumble of the bass. Thus, creating their own distinct sound that Boston SoundCheck Magazine describes as "..potent, throbbing, enormously heavy music". Since the inception of their debut independent full-length release, "The End of Denial" [recorded by Adam D. of KillSwitch Engage (Roadrunner Records artists)], the band has been a non-stop powerhouse of touring, gaining themselves a nationwide fanbase. With performances at large festivals such as GWAR-B-Que (w/Lamb Of God) in Virginia, Milwaukee MetalFest (w/Exodus, Arch Enemy, Nile) in Wisconsin, & Locobazooka (w/Black Label Society, Hatebreed, Disturbed) in their home state of Massachusetts, Trauma Concept has proven their ability to win over and "own" crowds of any size. Combine these accomplishments with constant touring of the east coast & midwest, and the fact that the band has only been around for a year and a half, and you can plainly see that Trauma Concept is unarguably one of the hardest working and fastest-paced bands out there. Surely one to keep your eyes and ears on! With the response to the band being overwhelming, and requests from all over the U.S. for them to pass through new areas, one thing is for sure - the band will continue their non-stop touring to play more performances in a broader area for an exceedingly fast growing audience. Overall, Trauma Concept will prove to you that metal is still here, it’s been improved, and there’s no stopping it.
