Artist description
Sander Flight (1971) sings and plays guitar in a style you could describe as 'melodic countryfolk'. To some, he sounds a bit like Janis Ian, Simon & Garfunkel and Joni Mitchell put together. Some say his voice reminds them of Willy Nelson. Sander takes time to write lyrics and chooses his chords in a fresh way, without wanting to sound freaky, though. Because you have to be able to listen and enjoy. |

Artist History
His musical carreer started about ten years ago (1990) with a tour of Amsterdam student-stages. Lots of covers, ranging from Elvis, to John Denver to Aerosmith. But after three years of doing this, something began to nag. He wanted more and better, but didn't know how to do that.
Then, a long period of silence began. But inside, Sander studied the guitar, wrote songs and tried out different kinds of music-making (close harmony, classical music). And all of a sudden, he became creative again. He jumped onto every stage that was available, he wrote song after song and he recorded a mini-demo-CD with five songs: 'All in a Day's Work'.
