Artist History Back in the mid-Eighties a group of bored teens started their first rock group in a Chicago basement. That fledgling band, the Feedbacks spent a few years making a lot of racket, but never really left the basement. You might say they were truly "underground." It was from this cold dark place that UMJAK emerged into the bright lights of musical obscurity. Over the years, UMJAK built up quite a reptoire of noisy rock songs, but failed to produce a single finished studio release. Sure, there area few lo-fi demos floating around, and a lot of bootlegged live performances, but no definitive studio work has yet surfaced.
