Artist description
We cover many different elements of metal with our music, from black metal to melodic death metal to beautiful acoustic uptempo riffs. We have a little bit of everything for each lover of music. We like to keep things exciting within the songs with constant changes and different off time beats. It is sad that many people here in America are unaware of the metal scene that is overseas and for the most part American music has become very lazy and quite boring. We will try our very best to introduce a little bit, or even alot, of what the European metal fans are privileged to experience regularly. Our main goal is "to strengthen the metal gene pool via the institution of a Nu Metal genocide upon its weaker forms and thus its resultant Darwinian demise". |

Artist History
June 10, 2001 was the birth of the idea for the band. At a show that both of our old bands played, Jeremy and I (Adam) decided that we needed to start a side project that would fill in the metal-less gaps because we both felt that our bands weren't "metal" enough. After 6 beer indulging hours of listening to CD's, talking and thinking about the possabilities, it was decided. We got together a couple weeks later to jam and see what we needed to do. We decided upon a few cover songs we would try to work on and then we called up Mike to see if he'd like to try it out. With 3 members and a "fill in" on bass that didn't want to play bass, we started working on originals. We needed a singer and we wanted Jeremy's singer from his other band to give it a try, but the "fill in" wanted to sing instead. He did not fit the style at all and we already had Jim starting with us on bass. We then fired the "fill in" and got Gene anyway. We were complete! After weeks and weeks of trying to figure out a name, we finally decided upon a name that of one of Jim's friends from England thought of. We wanted something that some kind of story or history. The Coventry Sacrifice just sounded perfect to us. Here we are now and it's September 2002, so far we have opened for Dead Orchestra, Fallen Empire, and In Flames, and we're going strong. In October 2003 we replaced our singer with Fred Closs and our sound is just much more heavier now!! We completed our first EP at Stuidio Triskaideka in Springfield, MO and we're on the Lifeless Records 2003 compliation. We are playing live whenever and wherever we get the chance so come check us out. You won't be dissapointed!! |
