Artist description Brio is a team of classically trained female musicians. With more than 15 years of performing experience, these four spirited, enthusiastic young women decided to pool their skill, talent, and expertise together at the beginning of 2002. The dynamic Brio team breathes a unique soul into each piece of music that they share and the listener is touched by the synergy created amongst these musicians. Their individual appreciation for all different genres of music makes for an intriguing repertoire. Not only do they enjoy performing the traditional classical string quartets of composers such as Mozart and Beethoven, but they also love playing jazz, celtic, and contemporary pieces as well. True to their name, Brio (an Italian musical term referring to spirit, fire, and vivacity), these gals tackle anything that comes their way. They recorded their demo CD in early April 2002 and made their television debut in mid-July 2002 (Now TV). Brio takes pleasure in creating an inimitable atmosphere by providing enjoyable background music during marriage proposals; ceremonies and receptions; corporate lunches and dinners; graduation ceremonies; and other private parties and functions. They can be seen captivating audiences at local festivals and competitions. While continually refining and expanding their diverse repertoire, Brio has plans for a full length CD and eventually regional tours and concerts.
