Artist description The iLLdren are an underground hip hop team from Louisiana. The three members of the iLLdren are Mercury, Cutter, and Shabak. Mercury (along with Bliss) handles most of the teams production and handles 1/3 of the mic time. Cutter is the energy man, and is normally the first member of the group to spit at live performances to get the crowds attention. Shabak is the battle cat, he'll battle anyone, anywhere, and over any beat, and let the competition pick the subject matter. Together the team brings much energy and professionalism to a local underground scene that has proven stale and static (and at times downright unprofessional). Three emcees, three passions, one album, one love.

Press Reviews Currently the Illdren are in the studio working on their second album Illkadamy. But this Friday, July 5, they can be found performing @ el matador, 11:30pm. El Matador's address is 504 Esplanade Ave (at the intersection of Esplanade and Chartres). Lyrikill New Orleans' own "Mic Check Champion" 2002 and the Euphonetics(Lyrikill, Pleon, and Zach)will also be performing at El Matador, along with the K.O.O.K's and Grey Area. If you were there then you know that the performance was supertight. Everyone came through with their A game: K.O.O.K.'s caught the crowd's ear with the multi purpose flow and demanding stage presence, the Euphonetiks came with the blazing lyrics and energy, the Grey Area DJ crew scratched the crowds itch for an hour straight with hardcore lyrics and sureshot scratches, and to top it all off the iLLdren came through with the official bboy style by rapping with a guitarist and beatboxer.
