Artist History for algernon started in 2002 when Jason Wells decided to change his name to a band. The name comes from one of his favorite books "Flowers for Algernon" written by Daniel Keyes. The band line up is pretty much Jason for recording but the live band will eventually be on a cd soon. Most of the band that backed Jason up for his live shows will carry on in for algernon with a few changes, they all will show up when they play. They all met through various friends and open mic's around Cincinnati. Some, well, all of the band members have their own solo career as well: Jeremy Strickland is the genious behind Fat Adam, Mark White has his new baby boy Benjamin but he also has Vinyl Eddie, which he fronts and Jim is in a world of his own where prarie dogs once ruled the earth as Freaky Jim
