Artist History
Omni began his musical journey in 1997 during his freshman year of high school in Western Massachusetts. Attending the Northfield Mt. Hermon school, he began producing simple beat loops using computer software and common breakbeats, at the request of his first lyrical partner, Moonshine (Elgin Nathan). Hailing from Philadelphia, Moonshine pushed and inspired Omni (then known as "Phonzileo") to push his creative talents further and further with every new loop. Soon, Omni was seceding from the social scene in favor of creating his latest aural gem, each one more intricate than the one before it. Two years and three self-produced albums later, Omni, now attending Columbia University, is primed to establish his innovative brand of music in the fertile, and competitive atmosphere of the New York City music scene. |
