"Music was made to evoke emotion and be relatable to everyone who hears it.", soular bassist Jared Ashcraft begins, "We have been playing for over a year now, and it's all about relating to the audience and giving them a great show. It's not so much about the band but the people, and the moment. " When founding members Del and Marsh decided to put a band together, it was for the mere "joy of making music and writing great songs." Del and Marsh have collaborated together in various recording and live projects since 1997. When asked about their music, singer and guitarist Marsh simply put it this way, "We just play and write the kind of music that we like. We aren't trying to impress musicians with complicated rhythms and unmemorable melodies. If the music doesn't speak to the average person, it's just arrogant junk. We just write and perform the kind of music we like. We have been influenced by everyone from the Beatles to U2 and everything in between."
