Artist description Witness what it really should feel like when you listen to metal. Scorched earth tactics began its relentless aural assault in 1996 when Viidanoja (drums) and Lakervi (bass) joined forces with Rinne (guitar) and Hätinen (vocals). With the sporadic addition of a second guitarist, the core four have blasted away some of the most catchy extreme metal known to man. The previous incarnation of the band, boasting the same line-up plus a second guitarist published a demo in 1997 which was received to some critical acclaim of high future potential. Now with a leaner line-up and a clear focus on their artistic direction, scorched earth tactics are set to stun a non-suspecting audience with their brand of extreme action metalcore. The demo was recorded in the band's own Kuolio studios. The three tracks on offer present You modern, accurate metal with a solid base in the past and a farseeing vision of the future.
