Artist History Jon Sterckx is a multi - percussionist specialised in Indian Tabla, but also experienced in other forms of non-western percussion, such as Middle Eastern and West African drumming. Since the mid - 90's, he has concentrated mainly on Tabla, which he has studied both in India and in the UK. Jon takes a contemporary approach to his playing, combining elements of these traditions with his own compositional ideas and playing techniques.He plays with the multi - instrumental duo Taaliqa and the fusion ensemble Dhani, amongst other projects.
