Artist History
Born and raised in the Inland Empire, Drea grew up like most California girls, snow boarding in the winter, going to the beach and diving in the summer, roller skating and playing soccer. In high school she was active in student government and as a cheerleader, and often sang the National Anthem for school events. Music has always played a huge role in Drea's life. She began singing, and performing in local musicals and showcases at the age of four. Her interests have led her to study and perform many different styles including, classical, opera, gospel, musical theater, and pop. She has performed in a number of choirs and Civic Light Opera performances in the L.A. area. It has always been her dream to sing her own music, so she began seriously writing a couple of years ago. She has worked with several producers and has just completed her second album's worth of material in less than a year. One of her songs,"Used to be a Cheerleader" was played on KROQ by Rodney Bingenheimer last fall, and charted in November in "R&R". Her selection as an opening act for a hip hop spring break tour paired her with writer/producer Latee Wilson and gave her backup dancers. They all had so much fun with this project they decided to expand it to a whole album and create a dance show, "DREA".

Albums
Her new album "Paradise Way" is set for release in August. The music takes an easy hip hop style and gives it a Latin sound and flare while Drea discusses the aspects of relationships flourishing and failing and the difficulties of young people today finding their place in society and making their own way. It will definitely make you want to get on the floor and dance. |
