Sponk, the first sign of life.
Sponk, the bullet shot out of a cannon.

The band Sponk has a goal to achieve.
To grow.
The line-up!
Kristofer sings, writes the lyrics and lets his charisma shine on stage as well as off…
Mr Cock plays the Hammond, Rhodes and his wanking horn which would sparkle when hugged…
The Monk centers behind his beloved drums, and dreams of turkish delight…
Mattias hides behind his neon bass…
Mr Pinky takes care of the guitar and never ceases to be prime mover…
Heading forward.
Fire without smoke.
Rock music founded in funk.
Behold the parade of the Nordic Barbarians!

Press Reviews
Sponk is five very talented musicians from Malmoe, in the south of Sweden. They play a partyfunksouloriented kind of music.
And they do it very well. Leadsinger Kristofer Sarstedt guides the band between Caribbean dance, oriental mysticism, Jamiroquaian funk and a general great groove. All you've gotta do is to come along and dance. The band describes themselves like this:
"Sponk is the canonball that is coming out of the barrel. Sponk is direction, when everybody else is concerned about positioning."
Digfi recommends that you direct your ears this week towards Sponk.
