Artist History
All of these years of madness began in early child-
hood, when kids became friends and friends became brothers.
When Ryan started jamming with Neal, they had something.
It wasn’t much, it was punk. Kevin saw them at a party
at Neal’s, and asked to join in. They were good enough
to play shows, but didn’t want to play punk. They
picked up a new front man and tried again. Ryan left
and was replaced by a new bassist. He had other interest,
however, and left after a few shows. Kevin asked Jason
to try out (at band camp.) That worked, but the front
man didn’t. Experimentation led to betters ideas. After
Ryan flowed on stage with his past band mates. They
all felt something. Neal and Kevin split from the new
front man. Neal’s attending college put a slight slow
in the progress. But upon his return, an Echo of Silence
was heard. |

Group Members
Neal Schaefer:
DOB: Dec. 29, 1981
Age: 20
Guitar, playing 7 yrs.
“In 6th grade I first became interested in playing
an instrument. I wasn’t sure what was right for
me until an older buddy of mine showed me some
licks on his guitar. The orgasmic feelings I felt
in my pants told me I had found my calling.
Ryan and I started playing together when he got a
bass a few years later. I saw a variety of
concerts growing up, experienced a variety of
sounds, and played with different ends of the
spectrum. Everything to mold me as a musician,
which I am grateful for.”
Kevin Brisbin:
DOB: Sep. 2, 1982
Age: 19
Drums, playing 9 yrs.
“Well, since I was a little kid , I felt that I
had a greater appreciation for music then a lot
of people. I've always felt a need to be a
drummer; just like a need for it. Pots and pans,
garbage cans and the occasional Jr. sh*t – kit
would all become members of my training ground.
When my house had enough room for a drums set, I
asked for one for Christmas as a joke. To my
surprise I receiver it, as well as my future.
When the band marched by I wanted to be in it.
So I was, and spent most of high school being a
huge band dork. Concert, marching, pep, jazz, bands
or anything that would allow me to play. No regrets
skill doubled every year. I tried college it sucked.
Music is more fun anyway.”
Jason White:
DOB: Sep. 25, 1982
Age: 19
Bass, playing 4 yrs.
“All my life I was very interested in music;
wanting to learn how to play since I was a little
kid. At the age of twelve I tried to pick up the
drums, but it just didn’t feel right. Then my
freshmen year of high school I picked up the bass
and found my craft. All through high school I took
every chance I could to get to the next level; playing
in the high school jazz band, concert band, orchestra,
pep band & and few rock bands. I am now a freshman music
major in college and devote all my time to playing and
writing music"
Ryan Rolsten:
DOB: Aug. 6, 1981
Age: 20
M.C., rapping 4 yrs.
“I started playing the bass when I was in the 9th
grade. After playing bass in bands for years I
realized I enjoyed rhyming. I began rapping with
my friend Tennille Williams, who was a well-known
rapper around the school. I did some songs with him
and he taught me a lot about rhyming and free styling
off the top of your head. I always have had a passion
for music and creating music ever since I started, so
I naturally wanted to start a band again. I got a
hold of Kevin and Jason and told them I wanted to start
a new rap/rock project. And since Neal was moving back
home from college soon, we all got together. And we all
really enjoy what we do.”
