Artist History
Third Grade Scuffle is basically what came out of a little three-piece punk rock band called Plan:B, which consisted of Matt, Richard, and a guy named Duncan. Duncan left, and Kurt was asked to replace him. A short time and a few practices later, Matt and Kurt attended a Suicide Machines/Catch-22/Special Disaster Team show, and it was determined that "horns are good." A few days later, Kurt invited his good friend Philip to come over and play his trumpet to a few songs at a Plan:B practice. It was still determined that "horns are good," so Philip was asked to join the band. By the end of that week, Tyler and Brian had joined the band as had Philip's friend Adam on saxaphone. With the new band came a name change, so Plan:B was no more. A short time later, Third Grade Scuffle played two shows and Adam decided that it really wasn't his thing. Not long later Eric expressed an interest in playing sax after witnessing one of the first shows, so Eric and his 287 different saxes joined the band. The lineup has remained steady ever since. Third Grade Scuffle has provided the world many an interesting show and album experiences, with many more sure to come. |
