Artist History Rick Derris has been around in the St Augustine, Fl area for about four years now. The current incarnation of the band is the most permanent and promanent ths far. The band has changed both members and styles several times but has always stayed true to one thing, having fun. Rick Derris is currently playing all over Florida and beginning to do out of state shows. The band's second CD is currently out on Rick Derris Records. It is a split with Loyal Frisby from Gainesville and Mindlikewater from South Florida. The band will be completing and releasing it's second full length ablbum in early 2003.

Press Reviews rickderris.. Some like Loyal Frisby, some like Hardcore Weezer, like both? well, then, why don't you try out Rick Derris. I recently caught them playing at Flagler College and though they weren't as polished as I've seen them (with Loyal Frisby) they stole the show. I always like it when they just play and allow the music to flow. Their lead singer, Eric, has an emotional face and an energy that is tapped to the limit sometimes when they're jumping around on stage and half losing their glasses. From listening to how they play now, and what they have on their last cd...which came out many a year ago...it is obvious that they have grown up as a band. Their cd, "My PeePee Hurts" is a low key soft sounding album that has its ups and downs although it's a nice background for writing reports and road trips. Personally, I'd rather hear them live in order to hear and see the new energy that they've invested into themselves and tend to try and give to the audience.
