Artist History
WAYPOINT is a powerful punk band with catchy hooks and
strong melodies that hails from La Crescenta and
formed in the summer of 2002. Their influences range
from Strung Out, Lagwagon and Samiam to the Clash, The
Jam and the Stiff Little Fingers. After recruiting the
original drummer from the Rhythm Collision, WAYPOINT
began playing their first shows in the summer of 2002.
Their first show, a battle of the bands, earned them a tie
for first place. On the strength of their new 3 song demo
WAYPOINT has recieved rave reviews and the demo
has been circulating rapidly throughout the local punk
circuit. The band has quickly booked shows for the next
several months including gigs at the Whiskey and a
possible show at the Palace in september. Plans for
a full length album and a late winter tour are not far away.
